The Horizon Alliance takes pride in our ‘Zero Harm’ culture and philosophy. Below are some of our safety initiatives:
- Meeting or exceeding the standards and legislative requirements set out in relevant Occupational Health and Safety Acts, and all other relevant legislation, national standards, codes of practices and industry guidelines
- Establishing and delivering training programs and ensuring they are continually developed
- Regularly and thoroughly auditing our health and safety practices and management systems
- Consulting regularly with our employees, sub-contractors, clients, partners and communities about health and safety issues
- Developing and maintaining a safety culture
- Utilising an integrated risk management framework to ensure health and safety factors are identified, addressed, monitored and reviewed
- Ensuring all Horizon employees, sub-contractors and clients practice consistent health and safety measures to meet and exceed our ‘Zero Harm’ vision
- Fully investigating any incident or near miss and taking action to prevent a recurrence
- Providing an effective counselling, therapeutic and rehabilitation management system for team members who have been injured or traumatised.
