Colossal Challenges

The Darra to Springfield Transport Corridor Project

The first project of The Horizon Alliance, the Darra to Springfield Transport Corridor Project represents a truly momentous time in construction - the first large-scale integrated road and rail project for South East Queensland.

To be built in stages, the first phase of the project is due for completion in 2011. It includes constructing a new railway line from Darra to Richlands and duplicating the Centenary Highway from two to four lanes to meet with the existing Logan Motorway Interchange at Carole Park.

The balance of the project will include continuing the Centenary Highway four lane duplication and extending the railway line to Springfield and is planned to be completed by 2015.

It's a big project, which presents enormous challenges, and more importantly, it's just the beginning.

The project links with other major infrastructure projects in the western corridor, creating integrated traffic and public transport solutions for residents in that region of South East Queensland.

The Horizon Alliance team is drawing on its significant experience and skills to deliver the Darra to Springfield Transport Corridor Project, and future projects for the South East Queensland region.
